For the 300 people who work at MPC Studio Bengaluru, this would not only mean vindication for a job well done but also a reason to party.

Speaking to The Hindu, Amit Sharma, head of compositing at MPC Studio Bengaluru, said, "The film was extremely challenging and would be a huge benchmark for visual effects. We had childhood attachments too, for ‘Jungle Book’ is an Indian story. We always hope for the best, but an Oscar is the icing on the cake." A total of 800 people worked on the film spread across London, United States and Bengaluru. The team in the city had a few brief references to the exotic places they had to create from scratch. To create the breathtakingly gorgeous universe where Jungle Book is set, teams from MPC went to six forests in India and took over 4 lakh pictures. As a result of the hard work, the team was able to make the "jungle" truly leap out of the pages of books and people's imaginations and turn it into a reality. This, of course, is not the first Oscar-winning film, the celebrated team has worked on. They had also helped create the visually rich world of the 2012 film Life of Pi. And we are sure there are many more laurels to be won in the future too!
