Shiela Cinema is one of the oldest cinemas in India, and was the first cinema to screen Hollywood movies in Delhi. Uday Kaushik, the owner of this this legendary theatre, talks about the glory days of the single screen cinema – days when Amitabh Bachchan would visit the cinema for movie releases and loved the experience of watching a movie sitting in a crowd of 1,000 people. Today, single screen cinemas have fewer audiences, but Uday has been keeping Sheila Cinema alive as a special space for Delhiites since decades. Join us for a stunning tour of this remarkable establishment, and relive the heady moments of a time gone by.
